Granddad and Margaret

We were able to spend 6 days with Dad and Marg while they passed through on their way to a friend's wedding in Paris. Didn't you know, Whitehaven is on the way? Check the map. Last year they came more as tourists while this year they toured more of our daily routine. They enjoyed a Whitehaven rugby match, a beautiful walk along the St. Bees Head, a drive through the Lakes, church, golfing with Nathan, cooking with Julieanne, meeting AC's boyfriend Josh over dinner, putting practice in the living room, walking into town, grocery shopping, laundry and lots of dirty dishes.

Margaret has a big birthday this year on June 24th which we will not be to take part in so we had our own little birthday celebration while they were here. We savored Thai peanut noodles, spicy Thai soup, Asian slaw and Julieanne's chocolate cake. Margaret was very appreciative to get to celebrate with all of us. I told her we just got the celebrating underway a bit early.
We were glad they made the effort and expense to come be with us for a week. It's fun for us to share what life over here is like with people we love. Other than reading the blog, being here is the next best thing!
